Mental health in youth

A healthy mind is the mother of a healthy lifestyle. Considering the above phrase, now imagine, will you be able to perform efficiently if you're feeling down? Of course not. Now imagine millions of youth, carrying the burden of their academics, responsibilities and insecurities, battling depression all by themselves because mental health is still a taboo. Fear of being judged results in adverse repercussions, a result, and revelation of data by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), more than 1.39 lakhs Indians died by suicide in the year 2019, out of which 67% were youth.  Mental health issues can be of various types, but the two most common disorders are Depression and Anxiety. Every 10th youth is either suffering from depression or anxiety disorder. Poor mental health is still not congenial to Indian society and needs adequate indorsation. Since childhood, we are taught that hard work is the key to success which is true but considering today's scenario, hard work is not enough to fulfill your dreams.
